SAPVIA Networking Event – 28 September 2017 – Protea Hotel Fire & Ice, Cape Town

SAPVIA held another of it’s popular Networking Events at the Protea Hotel Fire & Ice, in Cape Town on Thursday, 28 September 2017. By all accounts, the event was well received and attended. SAPVIA’s Programme Manager, Niveshen Govender, welcomed all present and provided an update on the Association’s recent activities. Christopher Gross, Advisor Renewable Energy, GIZ, started off the day’s proceedings with a presentation on Harmonized Solar PV Application and permitting procedures in municipalities. SAPVIA held its 2nd Networking event for the year at the Protea Hotel Balalaika, in Sandton, Johannesburg, on Thursday, 27 July 2017. By all accounts, the event was well received and attended. PV GreenCard launch Event

SAPVIA’s PV GreenCard programme was launched on the 26th of May 2016 at the maxx-solar training academy in Johannesburg with the much appreciated support of our event sponsors: Enel Energy SA; IBC Solar South Africa and Jinko Solar SA. What is the PV GreenCard progamme you ask? It is a safety certification and training programme for PV installers, designed to protect the integrity of the rooftop PV industry, as well as to empower the end customer. The PV GreenCard itself is a comprehensive documentation of the PV system being installed that will be accepted by the customer. The installer will use the PV GreenCard to declare compliance with relevant standards as well as safety guidelines for the installation of the PV system. On the 9th of December 2015, SAPVIA held its 19th and final Networking event for the year at The Capital Moloko Hotel in Johannesburg. SAPVIA’s CEO, Moeketsi Thobela, initiated the day’s proceedings with an overview of the year’s activities and accomplishments and provided some insights as to what 2016 has in store for SAPVIA and its members.
