Treasury receives Eskom’s draft price proposal

THE Treasury has confirmed receipt of Eskom’s draft multiyear price determination (MYPD3) proposal, but analysts bemoaned plans to raise prices further over five years.
Eskom is looking to increase electricity prices from 50,3c/kWh to 97,51c/kWh in five years’ time, but this needs to be weighed against higher inflation, and the effect on jobs and growth. Read more…
