The top Grade 12 achievers, from fifteen local high schools in the Maquassi Hills community, have received recognition and been awarded for their academic results. Gathering at a prize giving of Grade 12 Best Performer Excellence Awards, which recently took place at the North West Secondary School for the Deaf, in Leeudoringstad, each learner received a laptop.
This excellence programme was funded by Bokamoso Solar in partnership with the Department of Education for Matlosana and Maquassi Hills. As part of the solar project’s economic development programme, the purpose of this awards event was to stimulate and honour academic achievements of Matriculates, in schools in the local community.
Additionally, the three educators were also recognised and awarded, each receiving an e-tablets.

The schools in this excellence programme include Boskuil Combined School, Gatelapele Secondary School, Leruntse Lesedi Secondary School, Maitemogelo Secondary School, Ntlatseng Combined School; Reabona Secondary School; Tiragalo Secondary School; Hoer Skool Wolmaransstad; Kanana Secondary School; Mmokeng Secondary School; Tsebedisano Secondary School; Thuto-Tsebo Secondary School; Matlhalenga Secondary School; Vaal Reefs Technical High; and Leruntse Lesedi Secondary School.
